COVID-19 vaccine trial begins Tuesday in south Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A COVID-19 vaccine trial will begin in Palm Beach County on Tuesday.

Hundreds are expected to come to the JFK medical campus to participate in this clinical research study.

Study participants will randomly be assigned to receive two injections of either the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine or a placebo.

On Monday, palm Beach County Mayor David Kerner toured the facility.
